Privacy Policy

ParaCliffHangers Inc. — Effective July 8, 2026

ParaCliffHangers Inc. ("ParaCliffHangers," "we," "us") is a nonprofit adaptive climbing organization. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including but not limited to: your name, email address, and phone number when you join our mailing list, register for programs, volunteer, or contact us; emergency contact and accessibility or medical information you voluntarily share so we can run programs safely; and donation information when you give (payments are processed by our payment processors — we do not store your card details).

Some of our registration and survey forms also invite you to share optional demographic information.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate our programs and events, communicate with you about registrations and schedules, send updates you have requested, process donations, and meet legal obligations. Demographic information is used only in aggregated, de-identified form — for example, in grant applications, funder reports, and program evaluation — and is never reported in a way that identifies you. We do not sell your personal information.

Text Messaging (SMS)

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you consent to receive text messages from ParaCliffHangers, including program updates, event reminders, schedule changes, and related information. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of participating in our programs or making any purchase or donation.

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by contacting us at info@paracliffhangers.org. Once you opt out, we will not text you again unless you opt back in. Reply HELP for assistance.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except as necessary to provide the text messaging service itself.

Sharing of Information

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate (such as email, scheduling, payment, and text messaging providers), and only as needed for them to perform their services; when required by law; or with your consent. We never sell or rent your personal information.

Data Security and Retention

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Records of participants, volunteers, and donors are kept in our constituent database as part of our ongoing organizational records and as required by law. You may request deletion of your information at any time, as described under Your Choices.

Children

Where our programs involve participants under 18, we collect their information from a parent or guardian with consent.

Your Choices

You may unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email, stop text messages by replying STOP, and request access to or deletion of your information by emailing info@paracliffhangers.org.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest revision.
